Kimber Lee

This week we have the red hot, fashion bound pin-up Kimber Lee.  She is a pin-up model with a flare for design, style and visual appeal.  Matching the right colors, accessories, back drops, emotion and style Kimber Lee paints a great canvas for any photographer.  She has a genuine passion for the fashion industry, mixing it with her own spicy, yet sweet southern belle charm.   After reading her bio you can sense her high energy and passion for life that is inspiring, which is why we could not resist her as our Pin-Up of the Week!

Bio: Let’s see…  I’m your every-day, girl next door that works in an office but also loves to have fun, play dress up, and make the most out of life. I’ve lived in the Panhandle of FL the majority of my life and was raised by very Southern parents in Niceville, Fl. Yes, you read that correctly –  the city slogan is even “Nice Folks, Nice town, Have a Nice time”.  Though I’m more of a naughty & nice kinda gal, which is why I have both a “good” job and a “fun” job in order to balance things out (and pay bills).

I’ve always had a love for fashion and all things retro/vintage. When my sister and I used to visit my grandparents as little kids, my favorite thing in the whole world would be to go try on all of my grandma’s fabulous costume jewelry. I even remember her wearing this 24k solid gold snake chain that she bought online. I adored the colors and the fun designs. My grandma also sewed all of her own clothing so she always had mannequins and fabric everywhere… and thus began my love affair with fashion. I started assembling a collection of unique and vintage pieces that I would mix in with modern clothes. I’ve always had an eclectic style and although my favorites tend to lean towards the Pin-Up, I appreciate all different looks and eras. One of my favorite quotes is ““Once you label me, you negate me”- Soren Kierkegaard. I like diversity…in clothing and accessories, as well as in photo shoots and in life… it keeps things more interesting! Plus, when word got around about my collection, I started getting calls from other models, photographers and MUAH’s to be the stylist on other shoots as well.

Obviously there are several well known pinup’s from the 20th century that I could site as role models but I was originally inspired to take up modeling after seeing Bernie Dexter. It was eye opening and refreshing to see such a classic beauty that did not fit into the modern day “mold” for models and not only she was successful at it but she even looked happy doing it! I’m a firm believer that it’s never to late to follow your heart and live your dreams. The best part of modeling to me (other than the wardrobe obviously!) is meeting and working with so many great people. I’m a relatively new model and I’ve been extremely fortunate so far to have worked with some very talented and amazing people, most of which are now good friends. I’ve recently started collaborating more with various designers from around the world and am hoping to continue going more in that direction. Fortunately I have a great local team of professionals that have helped make long distance modeling easy.
