Vara Pappas Photography

This week we have Vara Pappas as our feature artist. She got a lot of inspiration for her pinup style from 50s and 60s advertisements. She works in the ad biz and her photos look the part.

Vara’s always had a fascination with photography. As a child she took her first camera with her everywhere to document all things of interest, she also hoarded photos from Vanity Fair and Vogue.

In 2000, she attended Savannah College of Art and Design on a portfolio scholarship, where she took her first photography classes. She received a great deal of recognition for her very first series, a collection of black and white nudes shot on 35 mm that were printed and processed by hand.
